The mission of the Glades County Economic Development Council is to create jobs for Glades County residents, their children and grandchildren while protecting the quality of life that brought us here in the first place.
As a Glades County EDC member business/organization/individual, you’ll receive the Glades County EDC quarterly newsletter, via email, before it’s posted on Facebook. This give you an inside track on the latest developments in business recruitment and expansion, legislation and other topics of interest.
Glades County EDC members will also receive our monthly e-news email blasts. We send out “News You Can Use” on an as needed basis as new events are scheduled. We would love to have your company’s news as a highlight for our next “News You Can Use.” Send your company’s event, special offer, job opening, promotions or other news items to us via email to info@gladescountyedc.com.
Facebook is the Glades County EDC’s newest method of advertising. It is another way of providing information to our Community. Our new member-to-member Facebook page is intended to share referrals between our member businesses and the community. The EDC provides a designated display area for your business cards and company brochures. These marketing items are available to the public at all times! There is no cost to you as a member of the Glades County EDC. When you provide us with cards and brochures from your place of business, it gives us the opportunity to market your business and its services to not only other members, but to the public as well.
Your organization/place of business may host an EDC Social, whereby WE invite other Glades County EDC members and others in the community to a business “meet and greet”. Attendees will be able to see and hear about the operations of your business. EDC member socials are wonderful opportunities for networking, exchanging business cards and marketing your business. The host is responsible for providing refreshments during the event. Again, other than the cost of refreshments, these EDC socials provide another FREE means of advertising your business.
